Felix Mortimer, Autumn 1914

Bringing back my old Autumn set!
This time last year I didn't draw any of these, so it's two years since anyone got added to this selection, and of course I didn't think of looking at the older ones to double check anything and have managed to draw Felix here with the same kind of tree as I already used for Iris, oops. Although they do still look different enough by oure chance, hers is more upright like the London Plane hybrid, and this has the mad crooked branches of the earlier Spanish kind. It's based on one I know, which you can see here (not a great photo, but wintery ones show the strange shapes better than leafy summer ones when all the loops and angles are hidden among the green)

Felix is a scruffy devil in his casual clothes, I once said 'it's a wonder he's even got all his buttons done up on the right holes', and this time I've amused myself by making him get it wrong
