The snowscape background is now exactly how I imagined it when I had the idea for an ice-skating drawing, I love this picture so far but have come to hate the next stage : but Amyas refuses to co-operate and I just can't get him to look right. I've abandoned two attempts already, one never got beyond pencil sketch beacause the pose wasn't working, and the second was half-coloured when I decided I just didn't like how he was turning out. So rather than achieve nothing, I'm posting what I have managed to get done today (apart from give myself a headache), an empty background scene with no-one in it yet!

The 4th Boxing Day Meet of the Harpley Hunt
Once again we don't have very many entries for this year's Hunt, but every single one is appreciated so I'll begin the post with a thank you to each of you who took part!
This event, like real hunting, is never run as a competition, so there's no ranked placings and a winner, but as usual you can still gain a ribbon or two - every time I pick out a few secret categories to reward, so you might find a little rosette pinned beside your entry, you can save them, or edit a thumbnail/link to them into your drawing's description if you wish
So, let's take a look at all the horses, ponies and intrepid riders who braved the chilly wet weather and r
The Harpley Hunt Boxing Day Meet (4)
As December is suddenly upon us, it's time to announce the sixth Harpley Hunt audience-participation art event!
It's not quite HARPG, as there's no competitive element - no need to outdo eachother or worry you're not good enough to compete, it's more just a bit of fun to give everyone a chance to take part and draw a little something to contribute to the day's sport together. Absolutely no limits on style or skill level - all entries will be welcomed, and shared in a Journal post on Boxing Day, so we can all enjoy one another's art and horses.
So, what do we draw?

boys are always infuriating. Just be glad he isn't your brother
Hopefully, as the background is so beautiful, you'll come back to it soon and Amyas will co operate!
